Senior Alex Lindsey of East Lansing, Michigan (East Lansing) scored his fourth goal of the season for the Hope College men's soccer team in a 5-1 loss at 25th-ranked Calvin on Tuesday.

Lindsey pulled the Flying Dutchmen within one goal by converting a free kick 21 ½ minutes into the second half.

Calvin, however, answered with three goals over the next 16 minutes.

Hope fell to 3-11 overall and 1-8 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association matches.

The Knights improved to 11-2 overall and 8-1 in MIAA play.

The Flying Dutchmen's next match is Saturday, Oct. 15 at Albion at 11 a.m.
