Box Score Setter Sophia Hackett directed a balanced attack that propelled the ninth-ranked Hope College volleyball team to a 28-26, 25-13, 27-25 win at Saint Mary's on Saturday.
Five different players recorded at least eight kills as the Flying Dutch raised their record to 21-4 overall and a second-place 11-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association matches.
Hackett, the junior from Indianapolis, Indiana (Brebeuf Jesuit HS) totaled 41 assists.
Senior Courtney Van Houzen of Traverse City, Michigan (West HS) led Hope with a team-high 11 kills.
Junior Haley Muller of Grand Rapids, Michigan (GR Christian) chipped in nine kills.
Sophomores Vanessa Reynhout of Freeport, Michigan (Lakewood) and Katie Rietberg of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) totaled eight kills apiece.
Senior Sarah Feldpausch of White Cloud, Michigan (White Cloud) had seven kills. She also was second on the team with 11 digs.
