Junior Sam Kreps of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS) won his No. 6 singles match for the Hope College men's tennis team during an 8-1 loss to Carthage, Wisconsin on Friday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

The Flying Dutchmen return to action in the Hope/Kalamazoo Shootout on Saturday at 6 p.m. when they host Luther, Iowa.

Kreps defeated Carthage's Fordy Leipold 6-0, 6-3.

Hope is now 0-4 on the season.
