The Hope College men's tennis team fell to Denison, Ohio 9-0 on Saturday in nonleague action at DeWitt Tennis Center.

The Flying Dutchmen (0-2 overall) return to action on Friday, Feb. 12 when they host the West Michigan Indoor Doubles Shootout at DeWitt Tennis Center.

At No. 5 singles, freshman Justin Folkert of Hamilton, Michigan (Hamilton HS) came closest to taking a set during a 6-0, 7-5 loss to Denison's Colin Bahin.

At No. 2 doubles, the Hope pair of freshman Christian Rhoades of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) and freshman Mark VanderStoep of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) fell 8-6 to Denison's Jack O'Koniewski and Blake Burstein.
