The Hope College baseball team has made playing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament an annual tradition.
Coach Stu Fritz's Flying Dutchmen will compete in the league's NCAA Division III Championship qualifier for the fifth time in a row since the format debut in 2012.
Hope (22-17) is seeded third for the four-team MIAA Tournament and will open at second-seeded Alma (27-13) today at 4 p.m. in a first-round game.
Today's other first-round game pits fourth-seeded Kalamazoo (21-17-1) at top-seeded Adrian (30-10).
On Thursday, all the games will move to Adrian's Nicolay Field for the remainder of the double-elimination tournament.
Wednesday's winners play at noon Thursday, while Wednesday's losers meet at 3 p.m.
