2016 MIAA Men's Tennis Tournament Preview

The Hope College men's tennis team is bidding this week for the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.

The second-seeded Flying Dutchmen must win two matches in order to advance.

REGULAR-SEASON RECAP

Hope beat Adrian 5-4 on Saturday, April 23 at VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium Courts. The Flying Dutchmen handed the Bulldogs their first league loss after junior Sam Kreps of Holland, Michigan (Holland HS) delivered the decisive fifth points with a win at No. 6 singles. Recap

PLAYOFF HISTORY

Hope is 7-10 all-time in the MIAA Tournament since the format was changed to a team format in 2007. 

The Flying Dutchmen have reached the championship match twice, losing to Kalamazoo in 2014 and 2010.

Hope is 3-0 all-time against Adrian in the MIAA Tournament, winning in 2014, 2010 and 2009.
