The Hope College men's soccer team was edged 1-0 in overtime at Alma College on Wednesday.

The Flying Dutchmen (7-8-2 overall) will be the No. 3 seed for next week's MIAA Tournament after Adrian College clinched the No. 2 seed with a 2-0 victory against Trine University.

Hope will play at Adrian in the MIAA Tournament semifinals on Wednesday, November 1 at a time to be determined.

Junior Blair McCormick of Wadsworth, Illinois (Warren Township HS) made three saves for the Flying Dutchmen against Alma (2-11-3, 2-8-2).

Alma's Noah Canlas scored with 1 minute, 10 seconds remaining in the first 10-minute overtime period.

The Flying Dutchmen are now 6-5-2 in MIAA play. They conclude the regular season on Saturday at Adrian. Kickoff is noon.
