Freshman Danny Kroeze of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) earned a three-set win for the Hope College men's tennis team in an 8-1 loss to 11th-ranked Kenyon, Ohio on Friday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

Kroeze rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 victory at No. 2 singles against Kenyon's Jacob Zalenski during the nonleague match.

Kenyon improved to 2-1 overall, while Hope fell to 0-2.

The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Feb. 11 with a 3 p.m. match against Cornerstone.
