Men's Tennis Loses To Nationally Ranked Aquinas

Sophomores Michael Kiley of Muskegon, Michigan (Mona Shores) and Mark VanderStoep of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) earned a thrilling 9-8 (1) victory at No. 1 doubles for the Hope College men's tennis team in a 7-2 loss to nationally ranked Aquinas on Saturday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

The Flying Dutchmen pair topped Chase Peery and Gunnar Peery in the top doubles flight.

Hope also earned a point at No. 5 singles against Aquinas, ranked No. 12 in NAIA.

Sophomore Andrew Klein of Augusta, Michigan (Kalamazoo Christian) defeated Evan Taylor 7-5, 7-5 at No. 5 singles.

Hope (1-5 overall) returns to action on Saturday, March 4 with a 10 a.m. match against Denison, Ohio at DeWitt Tennis Center.
