The Hope College men's tennis team dropped a nonleague match to regionally ranked Babson, Massachusetts 6-3 on Thursday at the United States Tennis Association National Training Center in Lake Nona, Florida.

Sophomore Mark VanderStoep of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) was the Flying Dutchmen's top singles winner with a 6-3, 7-5 victory against Ben Roque at No. 3 singles.

Senior Sam Kreps of Holland, Michigan (Holland) picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles against Connor Chin.

At No. 3 doubles, Kreps and sophomore Justin Folkert of Hamilton, Michigan (Hamilton) defeated Alden Hosmer and Dylan Pace 8-6.

Hope closes its spring break trip on Friday, March 24 with a match against Grinnell, Iowa.
