The Hope College men's tennis team finished its spring break trip down in Florida with a 7-2 loss to Grinnell, Iowa on Friday at the United States Tennis Association National Training Center in Lake Nona.

At No. 2 singles, freshman Danny Kroeze of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) topped Grinnell's Sam Stickels 6-3, 6-2.

At No. 3 doubles, senior Sam Kreps of Holland, Michigan (Holland) and sophomore Justin Folkert defeated Ben Cobin and Will Hamilton 8-4 against Grinnell (8-8).

It was their team-leading sixth doubles win together.

Hope (3-8 overall) returns to action on Thursday, March 30 with the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener against visiting Olivet at Etheridge Tennis Complex.
