Senior Day was a perfect one for captain Sam Kreps and the Hope College men's tennis team.
The Flying Dutchmen took all nine flights from Alma on a sunny Tuesday for a 9-0 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association victory at VandePoel-Heeringa Stadium.
Hope evened its overall record at 9-9 overall and finished MIAA regular-season play with a 6-1 league record.
The Flying Dutchmen will be the No. 2 seed for next week's MIAA Tournament. They are scheduled to host third-seeded Calvin in the semifinals on Thursday, May 4 at a time to be announced.
Kreps, the senior from Holland, Michigan (Holland HS), earned two points against Alma.
Kreps, pictured at left talking with interim head coach Nate Price, opened his day by teaming with sophomore Justin Folkert of Hamilton, Michigan (Hamilton) for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles against Alma's Evan Vergith and Tristen Fox.
It was the team-leading 13th doubles win for Kreps and Folkert.
Kreps then beat Alma's Brett Reuter 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6 singles for his team-leading 12th singles victory of the season.
