Women's Soccer Claims 4-1 Win At Trine

Rachael Braginton recorded a goal and an assist to help the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-leading Hope College women's soccer team down Trine University 4-1 on Saturday in Angola, Indiana.

The junior from Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS) assisted on the Flying Dutch's first goal on the road, then scored in the second half to close their scoring.

Hope improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in MIAA play with its fourth consecutive victory.

Braginton, pictured, set up junior Grace Bubin of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford) for a 1-0 lead 4 minutes, 22 seconds into the first half.

Bubin now has a team-leading seven goals on the season.

The Flying Dutch scored three times over the final 12 minutes of the second half.

Freshman Audrey White of Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) added her fourth goal of the season with 12:08 remaining.

After Trine's Erica Hoot scored on a penalty kick, Hope answered with the fifth goal of the season from junior Rylie Dalton of Rockford, Michigan (Rockford) with 6:14 remaining and Braginton's fourth goal of the season a header with 13 seconds remaining. 

Senior Allie Wittenbach of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Central) picked up an assist on Braginton's goal.
