Danny Kroeze and Mark VanderStoep worked overtime for the Hope College men's tennis team at No. 1 doubles for a thrilling victory at Kalamazoo on Tuesday.

Kroeze, a sophomore from Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS), and VanderStoep, a junior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) outlasted Tylus Metzler and Daniel Henry 9-8 (10).

The Flying Dutchmen lost the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match 8-1.

Hope is now 5-9 overall and 2-2 in MIAA play.
