Hope College's Kenedy Schoonveld has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week. 
The senior from Zeeland, Michigan (Holland Christian HS) is receiving this honor for the fourth time in her career, and the second time this season.
Schoonveld accumulated 40 total points in three games for the Flying Dutch in victories over Adrian (100-54), Albion (79-56), and Alma (94-49).
The social work major and spanish minor averaged 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in three games for the top-ranked women's basketball team.
In the 100-54 win over Adrian, Schoonveld shot 60 percent from the 3-point field, 62.5 percent from the field, while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out four assists.
During the 94-49 victory against Alma, the senior guard grabbed eight points while shooting 60 percent from the field. Schoonveld also tallied five rebounds in the win.
In the 59th win in a row for Hope College women's basketball, Schoonveld collected 18 points, with 5 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks. Schoonveld would again shoot 66.7 percent in the 3-point range, 50 percent from the field and shot 100 percent from the foul line (2-2).
