Womens Basketball Remains In Top 5 In Two National Polls

The Hope College women's basketball team remains in the top five of both the WBCA and d3hoops.com NCAA Division III National Polls after their first loss of the season.

The Flying Dutch are now ranked 5th in the nation in week 4 of the d3hoops.com Top 25 poll, and slid to 4th in the WBCA NCAA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Hope last sank from the top-ranked spot in January of 2022, after a loss served by Trine University.

Hope tallied 512 points in the d3hoops.com poll, with New York University claiming the top spot with 22 first place votes, and 223 points in the WBCA National Poll where Christopher Newport would climb one spot to become the No. 1 team.

The remainder of the d3hoops.com top five were Transylvania in second, Trinity (Texas) in third, and Christopher Newport in fourth.

The WBCA top five that now accompany Hope are New York University in second, Trinity (Texas) in third, and Transylvania in fourth.

The Flying Dutch return to action on Wednesday, December 28 as they travel to the Ohio Wesleyan Hoops for Hope Tournament to take on Carnegie Mellon University at 8:00 p.m.
