Men's Ties Hanover, Three Named to All-Tournament Team

Despite a 15-8 edge in shots, the Hope College men's soccer team finished 90 minutes of regulation play in a scoreless draw against Hanover College (Ind.) on Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University's tournament.

It was the Flying Dutchmen's first shutout of the season. Hope played three previous opponents to 1-1 draws.

Sophomore goalie Daniel Hesselbein (Barrington, Illinois / Barrington Community HS) recorded three saves for the Flying Dutchmen.

Hesselbein made the all-tournament team along with two teammates: junior midfielder Griffin Brown (Livonia, Michigan / Livonia Stevenson) and junior midfielder Matt Wimmer (Farmington Hills, Michigan / Detroit Jesuit).

Hope's next game is Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 4 p.m. at fourth-ranked University of Chicago.
