Ryan Allspach Clocks Top Run for Men's Cross Country at Muskegon Community College Invite

Junior Ryan Allspach recorded an 8K time of 27 minutes, 37.91 seconds to lead the Hope College men's cross country team at the Muskegon Community College Invitational on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen ran mostly underclassmen at the 11-team event. Hope finished ninth with 243 points.

Hope's next meet will be the MIAA Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. at Three Fires Golf Club in Holland.

Allspach (Glen Ellyn, Illinois / Glenbard South HS) took 60th out of 155 runners.

Freshman Shane Pitcher (Saline, Michigan / Saline) clocked Hope's second-best run with a 70th-place effort of 27:51.63.

Freshman Jack Leyden (Plymouth, Michigan / Salem) took 82nd with a run of 28:14.04.

Sophomore Arman Khaledan (River Forest, Illinois / Oak Park River Forest) finished 90th at 28:32.72.

Sophomore Andrew Tilly (Lemont, Illinois / Lemont Township) rounded Hope's scoring with a 92nd-place time of 28:34.93.
