Men's Soccer to Host Olivet In MIAA Tournament Quarterfinal

The Hope College men's soccer team will kick off MIAA Tournament play this weekend at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

The third-seeded and regionally-ranked Flying Dutchmen will host sixth-seeded The University of Olivet on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m.

The Hope-Olivet winner advances to play at second-seeded Trine University in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at a time to be announced.

In the other half of the bracket, fourth-seeded Albion College will host fifth-seeded Kalamazoo College in a quarterfinal on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m. The Albion-Kalamazoo winner will play at top-seeded Calvin University on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at a time to be announced.

Tickets for all MIAA Tournament games can be purchased through the league website.

The MIAA Tournament champion receives the league's automatic berth to next month's NCAA Division III Championships.

Hope (11-3-3 overall) is pursuing a fourth MIAA Tournament title. The Flying Dutchmen previously won in the spring of 2021, the fall of 2013 and the fall of 2021. Olivet's record is 3-6-6.

All-time, Hope is 11-7 in MIAA Tournament matches, including a 3-1 mark in quarterfinal matches.
