Two Men's Cross Country Runners Close Season at NCAA Championships

Hope College runners Connor Vachon and Ian Petruska concluded their seasons at the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday.

Vachon (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison HS) finished 255th out of 294 runners in the 8K race at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.

The junior clocked a time of 26 minutes, 44.7 seconds on his second trip to nationals.

Petruska (Fort Collins, Colorado / Fort Collins) placed 268th.

The sophomore recorded a run of 26:58.5 on his first trip to nationals.

Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Ethan Gregg won the men's race in 24:02.4.

Pomona-Pitzer edged Eau Claire for the team title by one point with 158 points.
