The Hope College men's tennis team fell twice on Wednesday after taking on Luther College and St. Lawrence University. 

The afternoon match against St. Lawrence which ended in favor of St. Lawrence, 7-2, was highlighted by two singles wins. 

At No. 1 singles senior Jacob Burkett (Clarkston, MIchigan / Clarkston HS) earned the win in three sets with 6-0, 4-6, and 10-6 scores. 

At No. 6 singles, Austin Becksvoort picks up a win on a second consecutive day over his opponent. The Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian) native snagged his win over St. Lawrence in three sets with 2-6, 6-4, and 10-5 scores. 

Luther College took down the Flying Dutchmen 9-0 in the morning match. 

Hope closes out their Florida play on Thursday, March 23 at 8:30 a.m. at the USTA Training Center, as they take on Carleton College.
