Presented to the team that played the most impressive game or had the most impressive win in a given year.Â

Men's Golf at MIAA AQ Tournament
In the first of three rounds of the MIAA Automatic Qualifier in 2022, the Flying Dutchmen posted a team score of 296 strokes. They finished 19 strokes ahead of second place. This was their lowest round of the spring and propelled the team into the final two rounds. Hope went on to win the MIAA Tournament by ten strokes over Trine and received an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championships.Â
Football vs. Aurora
In the 2022 season opener, the Flying Dutchmen soared to a 38-34 victory against Aurora University. Hope overcame a 17-point, third-quarter deficit by scoring the final 21 points in the game. The Flying Dutchmen scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 1-yard run with 32 seconds remaining in the game. Hope sealed the dramatic victory with an interception on Aurora's next play from scrimmage. At the time of the game, Aurora was ranked in the top 20 nationally.Â
Men's Lacrosse vs. Carthage
The Flying Dutchmen delivered a come-from-behind victory this spring, topping Carthage College 13-11. Carthage had an 8-3 lead early in the third quarter but Hope scored the next six goals and took its first lead since early in the first quarter. Carthage struck back twice, going ahead 10-9 with 9:09 remaining in the game. The Flying Dutchmen finished strong and ripped off four goals over the next five-and-a-half minutes to seal the win. This victory was the first time Hope had beaten Carthage at home.Â
Men's Basketball vs. Calvin
The Flying Dutchmen clinched a trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament after beating Calvin on their home court, 61-54 in the MIAA Tournament Championship. After building a 34-22 halftime lead, the Flying Dutchmen expanded their lead to as many as 16 points. Calvin battled back, scoring 20 points over the final seven and a half minutes. With just 39 seconds remaining, Calvin pulled to within three points but Hope was able to hold them off with clutch shooting from the foul line.Â
