Women's Indoor Track & Field at MIAA Championship

The Flying Dutch won the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championship meet with 211 points. This was more than double the points of the second place team, making it the largest margin of victory for any team since indoor track and field became an MIAA-sanctioned sport in 2016. Hope set four MIAA meet records and finished first in seven different events throughout the championship.

Volleyball vs. Calvin in NCAA Tournament

The Flying Dutch won a five-set thriller over rival and No. 3-ranked Calvin University in the NCAA Division III Tournament Regional Finals. Hope struck early, winning the first set. Set two went to Calvin in a 25-16 showdown, but the orange and blue came back to win set three in an almost identical score of the second set, 25-17. The two teams went back and forth multiple times with twelve ties in the fourth set and the lead for either team was never higher than three. Calvin would force a fifth set after winning 25-23 in the fourth. In the fifth set, Hope had a six point lead, but Calvin came back to tie the game at 10. The Flying Dutch battled through and won the final set with a score of 15-12 to secure the match victory.

Women's Basketball vs. Trine

In the MIAA Tournament Championship between two nationally ranked teams, the Flying Dutch topped Trine 76-65 to win the MIAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The first half of the game was a closely fought affair, featuring nine lead changes and seven ties. Neither team led by more than four points in the first 20 minutes. A 3-point basket by Trine in the final minute of the half gave them a 34-31 halftime lead. Hope seized control of the game in the third quarter, scoring 27 points. Trine pulled to within six points with 2:15 remaining in the game but Hope finished the game at the free throw line, scoring its last 14 points from the line.

Women's Swim & Dive at MIAA Championships

At the 2023 MIAA Championship, the Flying Dutch won 12 different individual events and scored a total of 1,131 points en route to their third consecutive team championship. On the final day of the meet, Hope won four events, set three school records. One swim was also the fastest swim in all of NCAA Division III at that point in the season. Hope broke 11 school records, three MIAA records, and qualified 10 individuals for the NCAA Division III Championships over the course of the meet.
