Four Claim All-MIAA Men's Tennis Honors

Four members of the Hope College men's tennis team have earned All-MIAA honors for the 2023 season: seniors Jacob Burkett, Cameron Coates, Matt Henkel, and Tyler Stafford.

Burkett made the first team. Coates, Henkel and Stafford are second-team selections.

Burkett (Clarkston, Michigan / Clarkston HS) posted a 5-1 record in MIAA matches at No. 1 singles and a 4-2 record at No. 1 doubles for the Flying Dutchmen this season.

This is the third All-MIAA First Team honor for Burkett, a business major.

Stafford (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian) finished 4-2 in MIAA matches at No. 2 singles and 5-1 at No. 2 doubles.

This is the second All-MIAA Second Team recognition for Stafford, an economics major.

Coates (Stevensville, Michigan / Laurel Springs) went 5-1 at No. 3 singles in MIAA matches and 4-2 at No. 1 doubles.

This is the third All-MIAA honor for Coates, a computer science major.

Henkel (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City Central) won all six of his MIAA matches at No. 4 singles and posted a 5-1 record at No. 1 doubles.

This is the first All-MIAA recognition for Henkel, a business and economics major.
