Julia Brown Earns First IWLCA All-Region Honor for Women's Lacrosse

Julia Brown has made history for the Hope College women's lacrosse program.

The freshman from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central HS) is the Flying Dutch's first all-region honoree.

Brown is one of 32 student-athletes in the Great Lakes Region honored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and one of 16 second-team selections.

All all-region recipients are now eligible for IWLCA All-America consideration.

Brown helped Hope claim its first MIAA regular-season and tournament championships this season.

An attacker, Brown topped the Flying Dutch in scoring with 79 points and 54 goals. Brown also recorded 25 assists.

Brown's 79 points are a school record, passing Carly Pieri's 72-point season in 2019.

Brown's 54 goals are the second-most for the Flying Dutch in a single season.

Brown's 25 assists are the second-highest single-season total for Hope.

The Flying Dutch finished the season with a 12-6 overall record that set a school record for wins in a single season.

Brown also earned MIAA First Team honors this season and was chosen as the MIAA Rookie of the Year.
