Hope College's Spencer Cable has been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.
The fifth-year senior advanced to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot for NCAA Division III.
First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Wednesday, June 7.
The CSC Academic All-America® program honors the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
The program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Cable (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville HS) recently graduated after majoring in health and physical education.
A designated hitter, Cable batted .301 in 40 games this season. Cable tied for the team lead with 49 hits and 35 RBIs.
The Division III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions III Academic All-America® programs.
