Junior Ryan Allspach Leads Men's Cross Country at Comet Open

Three Hope College men's cross country runners finished in the Top 20 at the season-opening Comet Open hosted by the University of Olivet on Friday.

Junior Ryan Allspach, sophomore Erickson Kunzler and freshman Tim Peterson led the Flying Dutchmen during the 113-entrant, non-scoring meet at Broadway Acres Golf Course in Charlotte.

Allspach (Glen Ellyn, Illinois / Glenbard South HS) clocked an 11th-place, 5K time of 16 minutes, 10.2 seconds.

Kunzler (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Catholic Central) posted a 15th-place run of 16:25.6.

Peterson (Portage, Michigan / Portage Northern) recorded an 18th-place time of 16:29.8.
