Nick Flegler Selected for the D3football.com Team of the Week

Hope College cornerback Nick Flegler has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

The sophomore from DeWitt, Michigan (DeWitt HS) received the honor for the first time on Tuesday for his play during the Flying Dutchmen's 54-17 win against the University of Northwestern (Minn.) last week.

Flegler recorded his first multi-interception game with two picks, including one in the Hope end zone to thwart a Northwestern scoring drive.

Flegler helped limit Northwestern to 65 yards on the ground by recording eight tackles, including seven solos, and a tackle for loss.

The victory was Hope's third in a row.

The Flying Dutchmen take a 3-1 overall record into the MIAA opener on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. at Adrian College.
