The second-ranked Hope volleyball team showed its depth on the road on Tuesday to remain unbeaten in MIAA play.
The Flying Dutch defeated Kalamazoo in three straight sets, 25-12, 25-15, 25-16, to improve to 17-2 and 4-0 in league matches.
Hope, which leads second-place Albion College by a half game, has not lost a set since a 3-1 win against the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Sept. 28.
On Tuesday, Hope utilized 17 different players in the win en route to hitting .402 as a team, the second-highest average this season.
Kalamazoo (6-13, 0-4 MIAA) hit .022 as a team.
Seniors Addie VanderWeide (Grand Rapids, Michigan / Grand Rapids Christian HS) and Alison DeWeerd (Kentwood, Michigan / South Christian) shared team-high honors with seven kills apiece.
DeWeerd finished with a match-high .778 attack percentage.
Junior Brooke Fox (Saunemin, Illinois / Pontiac Township) contributed six kills.
Senior Samantha Seib (Elkhorn, Wisconsin / Catholic Central) recorded a team-high eight digs.
Junior Lauren Lee (Plymouth, Michigan / Skyline) had 28 assists and seven digs.
The Flying Dutch return to play in a non-league matchup with the 18th-ranked University of Chicago on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.
