Women's Soccer Dominates Albion for Eighth Consecutive Victory

The Hope College women's soccer team emphatically ended a recent frustrating stretch against Albion College.

The Flying Dutch soared to a 5-0 victory at Albion on Tuesday behind their highest scoring against the Britons since 2014.

Hope's eighth consecutive victory this season improved the Flying Dutch to 8-2-1 overall and 3-0 in MIAA play. Hope is tied atop the league standings with Adrian College and Calvin University.

An Albion own goal in the 34th minute opened the scoring for Hope.

Six minutes later, sophomore Heidi Berkey (Grand Haven, Michigan / Grand Haven HS) struck with her third goal of the season. Sophomore Olivia Dieppa (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) recorded the assist.

The Flying Dutch put the game away by scoring three times over 16 ½ minutes after halftime.

In the 52nd minute, sophomore Bri Rose (Hudsonville, Michigan / Unity Christian) knocked in her first goal of the season off an assist from junior Grace Fowler (Cumming, Georgia / Pinecrest Academy).

Seven minutes later, sophomore Halle Barnard (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) delivered her third goal of the season.

Junior Avery Coykendall (Plymouth, Michigan / Canton) closed the scoring in the 68th minute with her third goal of the season. Freshman Adelyn Raad (Jenison, Michigan / Hudsonville) was credited with her first collegiate assist.

Hope outshot the Britons by a 22-6 margin.

Senior Kendall Robertson (Jackson, Michigan / Western) needed to make only one save in 71 minutes and 15 seconds of play. Sophomore Clara Feenstra (Hudsonville, Michigan / Hudsonville) did not need to make a save in 18 minutes, 45 seconds of action.
