Eight members of the Hope College women's track and field team claimed indoor all-region honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Seniors Rebecca Markham, Erin Moran and Olivia Quillan, juniors Maddy Struck and Jasmine Zimmerman, and sophomores Catherine Leahy, Sara Schermerhorn and Madison Stern represent the Flying Dutch.
The USTFCCCA recognizes with all-region honors the top-5 individuals in each event and the top-3 relays.
Schermerhorn (Traverse City, Michigan / Traverse City West HS) topped Hope with all-region awards in five events: the 60 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, distance medley relay and 4x400 relay.
Markham (Hoffman Estates, Illinois / William Fremd) earned all-region honors in three events: the 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and distance medley relay.
Moran (Arlington Heights, Illinois / John Hersey) raced away with all-region recognition in the 4x400 relay and the distance medley relay.
Struck (Hainesville, Illinois / Grayslake Central) captured all-region honors in the 5,000 meters.
Quillan (Grandville, Michigan / Calvin Christian) received all-region in the mile.
Stern (Saline, Michigan / Saline) received all-region in the distance medley relay.
Leahy (Elk Rapids, Michigan / Elk Rapids) and Zimmerman (Byron Center, Michigan / Home School) made all-region in the 4x400 relay.
