Three Chosen as MIAA Men's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week

Three from the MIAA-champion Hope College men's lacrosse team have been chosen as MIAA Athletes of the Week: junior Owen Mueller, sophomore Andon Rieger and freshman Drew Curran.

Mueller (Traverse City, Michigan / Saint Francis HS) is MIAA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.

The midfielder and public accounting/business major collected six ground balls, three caused turnovers and one goal last week during MIAA Tournament victories of 20-6 vs. Adrian College on Wednesday and 17-13 vs. Albion College on Saturday.

Rieger (Elmhurst, Illinois / York) is the MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.

The attacker and business major scored four goals combined against Adrian and Albion, and recorded a perfect shots-on-goal percentage.

Curran (Parker, Colorado / Legend) is the MIAA Men's Lacrosse Specialist for the first time in his career.

The freshman long-stick midfielder collected four ground balls, one goal and one caused turnover against Adrian and Albion.
