Men's Lacrosse's Michael Mann Chosen for CSC Academic All-America® Men’s At-Large Teams

Hope College men's lacrosse standout Michael Mann has been chosen for the 2023-24 Academic All-America® men's at-large teams as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The record-setting attacker from Plymouth, Michigan, is one of 15 first-team selections in NCAA Division III and 45 in the division overall. CSC is a 4,100-plus member national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.

Mann graduated in May after majoring in public accounting and business.

The University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy graduate topped the Flying Dutchmen during his senior season with 49 goals and 71 points. He helped Hope sweep MIAA regular-season and tournament championships.

Named the MIAA's Offensive MVP and an All-MIAA First Team selection, Mann completed his career as Hope's all-time leader in goals with 199, assists with 113, and points at 312.

In June, Mann received Academic All-District ® accolades for the second consecutive season and advanced to the Academic All-America® ballot.

Mann is the sixth Hope student-athlete named to a College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team during the 2023-24 school year.

Mann joins men's swimmer Ben Catton, women's swimmer Greta Gidley, football's Dylan Clem, and volleyball's Addie VanderWeide and Olivia Fiebing.

The Division III Academic All-America® first team boasted an overall average GPA of 3.97. Ten student-athletes had a 4.0 cumulative GPA.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Division III Academic All-America® program.
