Women's Basketball Earns WBCA National Academic Accolades

The 2023-24 Hope College women's basketball team has received academic accolades from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

The Flying Dutch recorded a 3.570 team grade point average to claim special-mention honors in the WBCA's awards program.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.

Teams having a 3.0 combined GPA and qualifying for consideration for the top 25 in their respective divisions claim special mention recognition.

On the court, the Flying Dutch, led by head coach Brian Morehouse, posted a 26-4 overall record during the 2023-24 season while claiming an outright MIAA regular-season championship and reaching the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
