Linebacker Colton Schreur Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

Hope College linebacker Colton Schreur has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

The senior from Wayland, Michigan (South Christian) earned the honor for the first time in his career.

The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll. Now in its 27th season, it recognizes the top performance at each position from the previous week.

Schreur, a business major, recorded a season-high 10 tackles, including five solo, for the nationally ranked Flying Dutchmen during a 19-17 victory at No. 25 Adrian College on Saturday.

Hope held the Bulldogs to a season-low 217 yards of total offense and shut them out in the second half.

Schreur also broke up a pass on a fourth-down stop in the end zone and added a half-tackle for loss.

The Flying Dutchmen, tied for second place in the MIAA standings, are now 6-1 overall heading into a visit to Albion College on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.
