Football Ranks 20th in Both AFCA and D3football National Polls

The Hope College football team is ranked 20th in both the American Football Coaches Association and D3football polls this week.

The 4-1 Flying Dutchmen rose three places in the AFCA rankings and remained in the same spot in the D3football poll.

On Saturday, Hope defeated Trine University, 55-35, on the road, preserving the victory with a 20-point fourth quarter.

The Flying Dutchmen have a bye this week and will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. against Kalamazoo College at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium.

The game is part of the One Big Weekend homecoming and family celebration on campus.
