Hope College Athletics is proud to recognize the 1975 undefeated Hope College football team during this weekend's home football game.
Kickoff vs. Calvin is Saturday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium. Football tickets can be purchased in advance online through the Hope College Ticket Office or by phone at 616-395-7890 or in person at the ticket office (100 East 8th St.) on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets will also be available at Ray and Sue Smith Stadium's ticket booth beginning at 3 p.m.
Under the direction of head coach Ray Smith, the Flying Dutchmen posted an 8-0-1 overall record 50 years ago, earning an outright MIAA championship with a 4-0-1 record.
Quarterback Tim Van Heest was named the MIAA's Most Valuable Player.
Van Heest was joined on the All-MIAA team by running back Bill Blacquiere, offensive end Dave DeZwaan, offensive lineman Len Fazio, defensive end Bob Lees, defensive back Rick McLouth, offensive lineman Dewey Thompson, and defensive lineman Craig VanTuinen.
