Football Places Eight Honorees on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Teams

Eight members of the nationally ranked Hope College football team have been selected to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Football teams, as chosen by College Sports Communicators: safety Trenten Bolhouse, punter/running back Noah Dunckel, running back AJ Martel, kicker Caden Balkon, receiver Jonny Rohen-Blanton, defensive lineman Caleb Paarlberg, H-back Jack Goldie and defensive lineman Jake Punches.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately honors football student-athletes in four divisions, including NCAA Division III.


Academic All-District® honorees were eligible for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® selections will be announced Jan. 27, 2026. 
The Division III CSC Academic All-America® program is partially funded by NCAA Division III national governance structures to assist CSC with awards fulfillment for the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-America® programs.

Paarlberg (Alto, Michigan / Caledonia) is a senior business major who also excelled on the field, earning D3football.com Third Team All-America honors, D3football All-Region recognition and All-MIAA accolades. He recorded career highs in tackles (48) and tackles for loss (10) for the 9-2 Flying Dutchmen, who reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history.


Balkon (Byron Center, Michigan / Byron Center), a senior political science major, set Hope's career record for extra points this season, finishing with 165 in 32 games. He earned D3football All-Region Third Team and All-MIAA First Team honors after making six field goals, including a 45-yard game-winner in a 19-17 victory at Adrian College on Oct. 25.


Goldie (Grand Blanc, Michigan / Grand Blanc) is a senior exercise science major who caught a career-high two touchdowns and served as a versatile receiving and blocking presence for the nationally ranked Flying Dutch, who led the MIAA in total offense.


Rohen-Blanton (Rockford, Michigan / Rockford) is a junior business major who set career bests with 65 receptions for 885 yards and three touchdowns. He earned All-MIAA Second Team honors.


Bolhouse (Zeeland, Michigan / Zeeland West) is a sophomore chemical engineering major who posted career highs with 13 tackles and three passes defended for the MIAA's top-ranked total defense.


Dunckel (Williamston, Michigan / Williamston) is a sophomore chemistry and engineering major who averaged 35.6 yards per punt in his first season as a starter while rushing for 159 yards and three touchdowns.


Martel (Mason, Michigan / Mason) is a sophomore biochemistry and molecular biology major who rushed for career highs of 516 yards and 10 touchdowns on 106 carries.


Punches (Farwell, Michigan / Clare) is a sophomore who recorded career highs with 26 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
