Men's Tennis Splits Dual Matches With Rose-Hulman and Roosevelt

The Hope College men's tennis team started the day on a high note with a 5–2 win over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday at the DeWitt Tennis Center, but Roosevelt University answered in the afternoon with a 5–2 result of their own.

Hope is now 2-2 on the season. 

Hope built its win over Rose-Hulman through a clean sweep in doubles and three straight-set victories in singles. The Dutchmen secured the doubles point convincingly and added key wins at the top of the singles lineup to close out the match.

Against Roosevelt, Hope again earned the doubles point with wins at one and three, but the Lakers controlled much of singles play. 

Despite a straight-set win from Ned Curley and a competitive effort across the lineup, Roosevelt claimed four singles courts to take the match 5–2.
