Men's Hockey Gets Invite to ACHA Division 1 Championships

It is Hope's first season at the ACHA's highest level

The Hope College men's hockey team is returning to St. Louis, Missouri, next month for the American Collegiate Hockey Association Championships, but at a brand new level.

The Flying Dutchmen have been selected for the ACHA Division 1 Championships during their first season competing in the top division following a successful run in Division 3.

Hope (25-8) is seeded 14th in the 24-team, single-elimination tournament.

The Flying Dutchmen — one of five teams from the GL6 Conference in the field — will skate against 19th-seeded Midland University (Nebraska) on Thursday, March 12, at 2:15 p.m. Central at Centene Community Ice Center.

The winner advances to face third-seeded Niagara University (N.Y.) on Friday, March 12, at 1:30 p.m.

The ACHA Championships will be streamed on FloSports (pay-per-view).
