Six Claim Berths on CSC Academic All-District Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Teams

Seniors Kamryn Bice, Natalie Christnagel, Molly Durow, Sophia Raymond, and Sara Schermerhorn, and sophomore Tessa Rindfliesch are honored

Six Hope College standouts have been selected for the 2025-26 Academic All-District® women's cross country and track and field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators: seniors Kamryn Bice, Natalie Christnagel, Molly Durow, Sophia Raymond, and Sara Schermerhorn, and sophomore Tessa Rindfliesch.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes cross country and track and field honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District recipients must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and have recorded either a top-50 individual performance at the NCAA cross country regional competition during the current academic year or a top-50 regional ranking in any single indoor or outdoor event.

Bice was a biology major from Monroe, Michigan (Monroe), who competed in throws during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons. She ranked 13th in the region in the indoor shot put, 14th in the outdoor shot put, and 19th in the outdoor discus. 

Christnagel was a physical and health education major from Grosse Ile, Michigan (Grosse Ile), who competed in indoor and outdoor track and field. She finished 14th in the region in the outdoor high jump and 16th in the indoor high jump.

Durow was an elementary education major from Glenview, Illinois (Glenbrook South) who claimed All-America accolades in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. She took seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, 15th in the mile at the indoor track and field nationals, and 32nd at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Raymond was an exercise science major from Woodstock, Illinois (Woodstock). She ranked eighth in the region in the outdoor hammer throw.

Rindfliesch (Holland, Michigan / Zeeland West) competed in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. She placed 14th in the region in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Schermerhorn was an exercise science major from Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City West) ], who excelled in the indoor and outdoor track and field. She is Hope's first multinational champion in track and field, sweeping the 400-meter indoor and outdoor titles. She also claimed All-America accolades in the indoor and outdoor 200 meters.
