Six Earn Spots on CSC Academic All-District Men's Cross Country and Track and Field Teams

Seniors Lucas Guidone, Jonathan Harlow, Erickson Kunzler and John Wenderski; junior Tim Peterson; and sophomore Noah Norris represent Hope College

Six Hope College standouts have been selected for the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators: seniors Lucas Guidone, Jonathan Harlow, Erickson Kunzler and John Wenderski; junior Tim Peterson; and sophomore Noah Norris.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes cross country and track and field honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District recipients must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and have recorded either a top-50 individual performance at the NCAA cross country regional competition during the current academic year or a top-50 regional ranking in any single indoor or outdoor event.

Guidone is a biochemistry and molecular biology major from Chicago (Taft High School) who ran for Hope's Great Lakes Regional and MIAA champion men's cross country team last fall. He finished 15th at the regional and 209th at the NCAA championships.

Harlow is a mechanical engineering major from Holland, Michigan (Homeschool), who raced on Hope's Great Lakes Regional and MIAA champion men's cross country team. He placed 14th at the regional last fall and 207th at the NCAA championships.

Kunzler is an exercise science major from Marne, Michigan (Grand Rapids Catholic Central), who raced this year in cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field. He placed fourth in the region in the outdoor 800 meters and 10th in the indoor 800.

Wenderski is a chemistry major from Livonia, Michigan (University of Detroit Jesuit), who competed in indoor and outdoor track. He finished sixth in the decathlon and 30th in the discus during the outdoor season.

Peterson is a nursing major from Portage, Michigan (Portage Northern), who ran cross country and track. He placed 15th in the region in the indoor 800 and 38th in the outdoor 800.

Norris is a business major from Ann Arbor, Michigan (Washtenaw Academy), who competed in cross country and track. In the region, he finished ninth in the outdoor 10,000 meters, 18th in the outdoor 5,000 meters, 20th in the indoor 5,000 meters and 32nd in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
