GET TO KNOW 

Why did you choose Hope College? I chose Hope because of the welcoming feeling as soon as you step on campus. The small class sizes, personal relationships with professors and coaches, and the city of Holland were all very appealing.

What is your favorite pregame meal or snack? And why? My favorite pregame meal is a KFC famous bowl because I've had one before each sporting event since freshman year of high school.

What is your favorite movie and why? Interstellar because of the great acting and even better plot.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Hard work, dedication, and perseverance never goes unrewarded ~ Dad

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you. 2 Chronicles 15:7 - I have had multiple injuries throughout high school football, and through God, support from my family, and determination, I was able to overcome each of these setbacks.

If you have chosen a major, why did you? Special education because I've always had compassion for children with disabilities.

 Who is the best Hope College professor? Dr. David Ryden because he always had positive energy and his views on politics and world issues were very enlightening.

 After I graduate I plan to… Find a teaching opportunity in the field of special education.

 What gets you in the zone before a game? Listening to music and focusing on my role that game.

 What is the best game you have been apart of? Beating Trine 51-0 on their homecoming.

Who is your athletic hero or inspiration? Ray Lewis because of his passion for the sport, leadership on and off the field, and skill at linebacker.

 How does your sport bring you joy? Football brings me joy because of the brotherhood it creates.

 What is an experience you have done off? I had the opportunity to meet people who impacted my life greatly.

 One life lesson I have learned from myself. Trust in one another.

Name a role model who has impacted your life. My dad had impacted my life in many ways because of his great advice and love for God.

 List a favorite Bible verse and why. 2 Chronicles 15:7. Through the setbacks I've encountered during sports, this verse has helped me realize that God has a plan for everything.

 The thing in my life I am most proud of. I am most proud of my work ethic.
