Why Hope Walking on to campus, it just felt like home. I knew this place was going to challenge me to become a person that changes the world.
Future plans I plan to put my energy into the sustainability and conservation efforts in the Michigan area.
Favorite Bible verse Zechariah 2:5 (ESV)- "'And I will be to her a wall of fire all around,' declares the Lord, 'and I will be the glory in her midst.'" I found this verse when I was struggling with those big life questions like what am I going to do with my life and how will I ever reach my dreams? Something about the imagery and knowing that the Father is holding me wherever I go has given me the confidence to pursue where He is calling me.
Memorable community service moment The women's lacrosse team helped load school buses with food and I remember the director saying that he normally has to organize the crates and move the food himself. He said it would have taken him a couple weeks and we got it done in a day. I could hardly believe it.
Favorite plans on campus There is a picnic table behind the tennis courts that sits under the trees that I go to when I want to relax or write for a bit.
Pre-game music I don't have a favorite, just whatever the girls have on in the locker room. Their energy is what gets me pumped.
If you could do another sport If we are talking only sports that Hope offers, volleyball. Any sport, I would pick gymnastics for sure.
Best advice received A life worth living takes work. If you want something, go after it with everything you've got. Nothing less will do.
