Hope College

Michael Lapciuk coached with Hope College Football coaching from 2016-2021. He was the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach.

Lapciuk is a teacher in the Grandville Public School District. Coach L, as his players call him, coached football at various levels since 1996.

Lapciuk was the head varsity football coach at Grandville from 2011 to 2013.  He also has been an assistant coach at Grandville, Grand Rapids Christian, Jenison and Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern. 

Lapciuk has professional coaching experience as well. He spent five seasons in youth development, football operations and as an assistant coach for the Arena Football League with the Grand Rapids Rampage.

A college athlete himself, Lapciuk played baseball for Aquinas before graduating in 1993 with a degree in health education. He went on to earn a master’s degree in educational leadership from Michigan State University.
