GET TO KNOW 

Why did you choose Hope College? Every time I visited Hope it truly felt like the place for me. I was between Hope and a couple of other schools, but when it came down to it Hope had everything that I needed as a student and an athlete.

What is your favorite movie and why? It's pretty childish I'll admit, but my favorite movie is Spaceballs. I laugh way too hard everytime I watch that movie.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? It isn't really advice but more of a mantra that I live by. The quote that I try to follow in everything I do is, "Don't quit, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion. (Muhammad Ali)"

If you have chosen a major, why did you? A passion for learning how things work and an incredible ambition to innovate inspired me to chose my major.

 Who is the best Hope College professor? John Krupczak. He was the first engineering professor I had, and not only did he pique my interest in engineering, but also made learning incredibly enjoyable. He is also really funny and has gotten quite a few laughs in the classes I have had with him.

 After I graduate I plan to… Have a family with some dogs, a boat and some kids.

 What gets you in the zone before a game? Silence.

 What is the best game you have been apart of? Watching a record setting win against defiance as my first home game. The score at the end of the game was 80-6. That is the highest margin of victory I have ever seen.


 What is an experience you have done off? Having to shift my world view in the times of covid 19 has been a really big shaping factor for me. Knowing that everything can be taken away at any moment, and really nothing is certain, has been a huge lesson that I have started to learn.

 One life lesson I have learned from myself. Working hard gets results. If you want to go far, its not going to be handed to you.

Name a role model who has impacted your life. I really do not have any role models. I try to be the best me I can be, and be a role model to others.

The thing in my life I am most proud of. Standing tall here today. I have had some really big challenges in life, and it has not always been easy. I am proud to say that I have gotten through it and am a better person because of it.
