Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2020)

GET TO KNOW
Why did you choose to attend Hope College? Reputation for academics, friendly people all around, lots of opportunities to participate around campus, major/courses for me, close proximity to family .

What were your favorite subjects in high school? Math, government, history

Name a role model or models who have impacted your life? And describe how. My dad because of his incredible work ethic and his willingness to sacrifice all his time and energy for his family.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you. Isaiah 40:31"those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". I love this verse because whenever I can feel myself getting tired, trying to find ways out of things, I begin to feel God's strength and I know that in fact I can keep going, I can make it work out and be alright.

What is your favorite pregame meal or snack? Simple peanut butter & jelly

What type of pregame music do you enjoy? I know it sounds silly but I listen to lots of French music so I normally end up listening to my favorite French music or some sort of rap. Something that has a big meaning to it and isn't just spitting words out fast.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Keep pushing and control what YOU can, everything else will sort itself out on its own.

If you have chosen a major, why did you? Poly Sci to me seems like a great way to get to the problems that people face and try to help solve them to make life better for all people.

Who is the best Hope College professor? Dr. Rachel Schutte, she always comes to class with energy, and a pronounced passion for the material she is teaching.

After I graduate I plan to… Pursue options in the world of political science, whether it be research or more into the world of campaigning.

What gets you in the zone before a game? I watch all the guys around me put their gear on, and imagine what they'd sacrifice to get the win, this always energizes me and makes me want to give it all for all of them.

What is the best game you have been apart of? Bulldozing Trine in the 2019 season on their own field.

Who is your athletic hero or inspiration? Giannis, because you can see quite clearly the results of his work ethic and perseverance.

How does your sport bring you joy? I love being able to go out and accomplish a goal with friends and teammates. Being able to compete and succeed with brothers is the ultimate achievement.

What is an experience you have done off? Training to become an RA has opened my eyes to many different experiences that I have not personally had, and it makes me thankful for all the different people in my life.

One life lesson I have learned from myself. You have to value everyone's contributions no matter how big or how small, the only way forward is pushing together with everyone around you.

Name a role model who has impacted your life. My dad, for constantly showing my brother and I how you just get stuff done and don't complain, even when it might be extremely difficult and/or exhausting.

List a favorite Bible verse and why. Isaiah 40:31"those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". I love this verse because whenever I can feel myself getting tired, trying to find

The thing in my life I am most proud of. The mission trips I've been a part of to Pine Ridge South Dakota, New Orleans, St. Louis and Washington D.C.
