Chad Carlson '17 served on the Hope College men's basketball coaching staff from the 2019-20 season through 2023-24 season.

Carlson was a four-year guard for the Flying Dutchmen and captained the squad during this senior year.

Carlson set several Hope records for his shooting prowess from behind the arc: most three-pointers made in a game (10), most 3-pointers made in a season (91), most 3-point attempts in a season (224), and most 3-pointers made in a career (189).
