Holly Van Noord was appointed as the seventh Hope College women's soccer head coach on June 7, 2024, after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for the Flying Dutch.

In her first season, Van Noord guided Hope to a 12-4-2 overall record and a 6-1-1 mark in MIAA play. Van Noord coached six All-MIAA selections and 2024 MIAA Newcomer of the Year, defender Mia Hesley.

Prior to Hope, Van Noord served as a physical and health education teacher for Hudsonville Public Schools. Van Noord also was the Hudsonville High School girls soccer coach for six seasons and led the Eagles to an 83-22-16 overall record (.752). Hudsonville finished state runner-up in Division 1 in 2023.

A native of Hudsonville, Van Noord earned her Master's degree in teaching from Liberty University in 2017. She also earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Liberty in 2016.

As a college student-athlete, Van Noord played in goal for four seasons at Liberty. She became Liberty's first Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Year and claimed the honor twice (2016, 2014). She set a Big South record with 34 career shutouts. In high school, Van Noord set Michigan High School Athletic Association state records with 75 career shutouts for Hudsonville Unity Christian and 24 single-season shutouts in 2011.Van Noord led Unity Christian to three MHSAA state titles and one state runner-up finish.
