The 20th-ranked Hope women's cross country team took second at the six-team Muskegon Community College Jayhawk Invitational.
The Flying Dutch scored 55 points to finish 17 behind behind first-place Lansing Community College.
Hope put together a pack for 12th through 14th place out of 78 runners — junior Katherine Hauge of Blaine, Minn. (Minnehah Academy) at 20:08.96, junior Katie Afton of Portage (Portage Central HS) at 20:13.15 and senior Julia Windom of Bowling Green, Ohio, (Lakota HS) at 20:14.71.
The Flying Dutch rounded out their scoring with freshman Christin Bothe of DeKalb, Ill. (DeKalb HS) in 21st at 20:39.26 and freshman Jessica Cronau of Dublin, Ohio, (Dublin Scioto) in 22nd at 20:40.94.
